Centrally located in Arlington, Norwood Glen is within easy driving distance to larger city amenities.  Approximately 20 minutes from Everett and less than one hour from Seattle and Bellingham, Arlington has a relaxed rural atmosphere.

Hospitals

Cascade Valley Hospital offers many services, providing quality health care with up-to-date technology and caring staff.  Cascade Valley Clinics offer care at a variety of locations in Snohomish County.

Schools

The Arlington School District includes five elementary schools, one middle school and two high schools.  Several private schools in town provide preschool, elementary and secondary, and vocational-technical education.

Parks and Recreation

Arlington has many City and County parks, with sports fields, picnic areas, boat ramps on the Stillaguamish River, trails, playgrounds and more.

 

Centennial Trail runs from Arlington to the town of Snohomish following an old railroad easement.  Picnic tables and benches are provided along the way.  The trail is open for walking, jogging, biking, and horseback riding.

There are a variety of golf courses in the area.  Gleneagle Golf Course, an 18 hole, par 70 course, is just minutes away from Norwood Glen.  Several public courses are a short drive away in Skagit and Whatcom Counties.

 

 

Transportation

Major Roads:
            I-5 runs north and south approximately 3 miles west of Arlington.
            SR 9 runs north and south through Arlington.
            SR 530 runs east and west, connecting I-5 to the Mountain Loop Hwy.

Community Transit provides bus service throughout Snohomish County, offering Vanpool and ride-share opportunities for commuters, bike racks on buses and service for people with disabilities.

Two airports serve Snohomish County.  Arlington Airport is one of the largest general aviation airports in Washington, housing over 500 aircraft.  Snohomish County Airport-Paine Field, located in Everett, houses over 550 aircraft and is home to over fifty-five businesses that provide over 30,000 jobs to the community.
